Today I'm doing some research about how one would hook up a energy generator to your home energy system. In particular, integrating a system with your existing grid. That way, when you're not producing energy, you can pull energy from the grid to power your home. Vice versa, while your system is producing more energy that you consume, the energy company is required to buy back their kwH.
Here in South Florida, my home falls under the services of FPL. I found this link today about hooking up to the grid with a SPS or Small Photovoltaic System, which is a solar power system, which is not designed to produce enough energy for your household energy needs. It sounds like FPL will come out to install the metering equipment needed to get on the grid. NICE!!, I'll come add more to this post after I read the details.
